Microsoft Word 2002 — Getting Attacked
John Tyra | July 9th, 2008Not that a Microsoft security hole is news exactly, but hey I want to make sure you are safe and secure. Then again, who is still using Office 2002 still anyway? You are, really? Oh — please, post a comment so I can pick on you. =)
(Just kidding, I won’t pick on you…in public)

InfoWorld has been covering this story , including the previous announcements that not only Microsoft has released but ~also the advisories that Symantec has put out. Normally I don’t like it when someone rats me out, but in this case, it looks like a good deal.
So, if you are still using the old version of Office, I’d highly suggest to head on over to Windows Update and get this patch in addition to any others that are available to you. Even though the current claim is a mere "limited, targeted [number of] attacks" I am willing to bet anyone is at risk. Don’t try your luck, update today! (Wow…that sounded like a Microsoft slogan…bleh)
