Logitech Keyboard For The Wii Released

John Tyra | July 15th, 2008

With all of these cool gadgets coming out, I guess it’s a bad year to not be a console gamer. Just yesterday we talked about the Netflix on your Xbox 360 , and today Logitech adds into the pot with a full-featured keyboard for the Wii. Pretty cool if you’ve ever had to type in…oh…anything on the Wii, even on a friend’s console. It is not exactly the most fun part of a Wii, to say the least. With more MMORPG and social oriented games coming out, a full-sized keyboard could easily find it’s way into the console world.

Currently, the keyboard is scheduled to be available in August for about $50. Let’s hope it won’t follow the same Wii trend and be impossible to get for the first six months. =)

Mac users get some Logitech HD webcam lovin’

John Tyra | June 24th, 2008

Logitech announced a Mac compatible webcam today that is able to record video clips in the ‘720p high-definition (HD) video format’. They were quick to put it on their site as well, so you can go checkout all of the pictures and specs if you’re interested. I’ll drop a picture in this post as well, just for fun. It looks pretty slick, actually, and even features a Carl Zeiss® lens which is nice.

So, the real question: Why did Logitech even bother with this? Yes, Mac users love their accessories just as much as Windows users, but most modern Macs already have a built-in webcam called the iSight which is not technically ‘HD’ but it’ll pull in 640×480 according to it’s wiki entry . Given the smaller Mac market in combination with the even smaller number of mac users who don’t already have a built-in cam, I don’t see Logitech exactly selling a ton of these units.

Only time will tell, but don’t be surprised if Logitech releases some ‘magic patch’ or other software ‘fix’ that enables Windows users to use this device in conjunction with the Mac users. Either that or another hardware version, take your pick.

Why computer nerds shouldn’t design car audio

John Tyra | June 11th, 2008

Seriously. I mean, at first, I thought it was a joke…but wow. Now I know why automotive audio engineers and computer nerds don’t mix. Even ~I~ know better than to do stupid stuff like this! Links and picts, let me know what you think….wow…..

"What do the girls say when you ride by blasting the windows startup sound?"

I got this from here:
